Archive for the '$300K Man' Category

Last week, I asked whether Steve Wilson, an account executive for Envysion, would be a $300,000 man.  That is, would he close $300K in new sales at Envysion in July?

Envysion has had account execs exceed the $300K mark in the past, but only when driven by a very large specific customer.  Steve’s would have been significant because it would have been achieved by several smaller opportunities–but nearly all of which from household name customers who are (or on the path to be) steady customers.

Well, Steve came short but did so in a very respectable way.  He exceeded $200,000.  One deal he was working on was for over $100,000…had he of gotten to signature on that one, he would have easily exceeded the $300,000-man threshold. We expect to get this deal in August.  With a little luck and a ton of hard work, Steve will exceed $300,000 threshold in August or September (maybe both?).  When he does, I will let you know.

So Now What?

Steve Wilson is an account executive at Envysion.  He was with us at ICG Communications in 2005/06 and joined Envysion about a year ago.

Envysion has had account execs deliver $300,000 or more sales in the month’s past.  However, they have been driven by a single large transaction.  In July, Steve has a chance to hit $300,000 through more than 10 separate customers and several distinct brands.  However, time is not on his side.  He is at $110,000 as I write this, with only about 6 business days left in the month.

Will he do it?   I’ll let you know.  Good luck.
