Normally I wouldn’t use a title for a post that mimics exactly another post. Given the cause, I thought that it would be appropriate in this case.
The Foundry Group is a Boulder area Venture Capital firm. Through one of their partners, Jason Mendelson, I have learned more about what the University of Colorado has to offer regarding entrepreneurship. BTW, Jason has a great blog called Mendelson’s Musings. It is worth adding to your reader. Brad Feld is one of Foundry’s partners and is also a supporter of CU.
The Foundry Group has a posting on their site titled The University of Colorado and Entrepreneurship. I have a goal this fall to develop a tight relationship between CU and my companies (Zayo and Envysion at a minimum, but hopefully spilling over to NGT and perhaps others.) I hope to become a more active supporter of the entrepreneurial students in multiple ways, especially through creating internships and positions. Mindy Hammond and Sandi Mays are going to help facilitate this.
The Colorado contingents of Zayo, Envysion, etc. — we have the opportunity to much better leverage the talent that is right in our back yard. Help me do it. Jason, Brad, and the Foundry team–thanks for leading by example.
Dan,
I think it is a great idea to get involved with this program. My husband is involved in the Bard Center at CU Denver and absolutley loves it.
Rachelle, thanks for the comment and your support on the program.
Dear Dan,
I appreciate what you have done. I am a Junior in Mechanical Engineering and am in the Engineering entrepreneurship program here at CU. I recently landed an internship for ZEN and enjoy the atmosphere an individuals I work with in Louisville. Thanks for creating such a great opportunity for those of us here at CU. Hope to meet you around the office.
