Zayo signed a purchase agreement to acquire fiber properties in multiple markets.  The markets include large metro networks with significant fiber count in two NFL cities.  These will be two new geographies for Zayo.

Also included is fiber in 3-4 other states, though with lower fiber count.  These fibers are significant because they are very complimentary with Zayo’s existing footprint.

What markets?  Where did these fibers come from?  Well, it is unannounced so I can’t disclose.  Let’s see if Telecom Ramblings reader base can figure it out.

So Now What?

Cool! We’ll do our best! Do we have any sort of time limit? Is that PR scheduled for 12 hours from now or a couple days?

Well, you stumped us. I think I was on the right track when I stumbled across the PR. Of course, I don’t think many people had any idea that Citynet still had such metro fiber networks, we all thought you bought everything they had already last winter! I don’t suppose you could fill us in as to why that Cincinnati/Chicago metro fiber didn’t come along with citynet wholesale?

Thanks for the challenge, it was fun!
